Yayasan Raja Zarith Sofiah Negeri Johor (YRZSNJ) was founded in 2012 under the Societies Act 1966, with consent for its establishment by His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, Sultan and Sovereign Ruler of the State and Territory of Johor Darul Ta’zim and Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah Binti Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah, Permaisuri of Johor.
Inspired by the writings and works of Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah Binti Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah, Permaisuri of Johor, YRZSNJ has been established to help bridge communities through educational initiatives in Malaysia and also abroad. YRZSNJ supports a diversity of platforms in which discussions and cooperation are encouraged, based on mutual respect of different faiths and ethnicities of shared values and principles while simultaneously also actively conducting various programmes related to the education sector in order to contribute to empower future generations.
- To raise funds for various educational and academic activities inside and outside the country for the purpose of unity and wellbeing of humankind
- To educate future generations by strengthening the existing education ecosystem by enhancing the core values, specifically in sciences, technology, arts, literature, and business management which will ultimately develop a knowledgeable society, integrity and decent future generations.
- To disseminate, expand and promote the spirit of goodwill, peace and global unity through social welfare activities.
- To establish an intellectual, smart and strategic partnership between world class educational institutions.
