Yayasan Raja Zarith Sofiah Negeri Johor (YRZSNJ) was founded in 2012 under the Societies Act 1966, with consent for its establishment by His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, Sultan and Sovereign Ruler of the State and Territory of Johor Darul Ta’zim and Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah Binti Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah, Permaisuri of Johor.

Inspired by the writings and works of Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah Binti Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah, Permaisuri of Johor, YRZSNJ has been established to help bridge communities through educational initiatives in Malaysia and also abroad. YRZSNJ supports a diversity of platforms in which discussions and cooperation are encouraged, based on mutual respect of different faiths and ethnicities of shared values and principles while simultaneously also actively conducting various programmes related to the education sector in order to contribute to empower future generations.
